Posting With Thunderbird
Unlike many Usenet browsers, for some unfathomable reason, the designers of
Thunderbird chose to not have a Post button by default. This makes
posting somewhat counterintuitive and actually makes it seem a discouraged
activity according to the user interface designers. Nonetheless, it is simple
enough to do.
First select the group you wish to post to in the left pane.
The go to File->New->Message or hit CTRL-m to create a new message
to the selected broup.
Fill in the message with your desired textual content.
Then one can either drag and drop a file (shown in green from Windows Explorer)
or use the paperclip icon (circled in red) to attach an image.
Finally click send (circled in blue above).
